SYDNEY

  • Prince Alfred Park Pool is having a FREE open day and inviting families to come and explore everything the pool has on offer.
  • Grandparents are being celebrated this month at Tote Park Zetland!  Jump in the fun Photo Booth with the grandkids, and plant seedlings to take home.
  • Walk the pink carpet at the premiere of My Little Pony the movie at Entertainment Quarter on the 28th October.

  • Victoria Park Pool is hosting a free open day, inviting families to come and explore everything the centre has to offer.

  • Get your spooky on this Halloween at any of the family friendly events planned around Brisbane at the end of October.
  • Come and say goodbye to Big Ted, Little Ted, Humpty and Jemima who have been at the Cobb + Co Museum celebrating 50 years of Play School, ABC’s much loved television program on the 15th October.

  • Children are invited to enter the world of leading contemporary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama at the QAGOMA and ‘obliterate’ an Australian domestic space by adding colourful dot stickers to white furniture, objects and surfaces in the large-scale interactive installation The obliteration room.
  • Take the kids to Australia’s largest German Festival Oktoberfest to experience a new culture along with some family fun!
  • With the weather warming up, head to Deception Bay Movie in the Park for a family friendly screening of Minions.
  • From Sherwood Forest to Nottingham Castle, grab your bow and arrow and be whished away on this thrilling escapade Robin Hood the Musical at the Brisbane Arts Theatre.

  • The ASO Junior Jams is your pre-schoolers chance to sing, dance and make music together. Children will learn about various instruments of the orchestra through stories, songs and demonstrations by different musicians of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
  • Families are invited to the Adelaide Zoo for Playgroup SA’s Annual Membership Event, Playgroup at the Zoo is so much FUN for the whole family.   • Step into the giant 12 metre kaleidoscope at Elizabeth Quay and be dazzled as colour and light reflects from all angles.
  • Get ready for some great gooey fun as AQWA celebrates all the wild and wonderful ways in which sea creatures use slime.
  • Get up close to life-size animatronic models of the Cretaceous period (145-66 million years ago), Dinosaur Discovery: Lost Creatures of the Cretaceous at the Western Australian Museum.

  • Experience other cultures at the Swan Festival of the Lights to celebrate Deepavali. From local to international dance and music performances, camel rides, workshops and activities and arts and crafts…there is something for the whole family.
  • Celebrate Children’s Week at AQWA with free entry for children 0-3 all day and the first 430 children aged 4-15 are free (by pre-purchased online booking only). Discover the wonders of the Western Australian coastline and marine life through the exhibits, activities and aquariums of AQWA.

  • Experience other cultures during Newcastle China Week; an initiative to facilitate greater understanding between Newcastle and China through a series of interactive academic, cultural and social events.
