  • Head to Gasworks to see the best circus performers battle head to head with the Gasworks Circus Showdown under the guidance of experienced circus professionals.
  • Step into the world of Roald Dahl when ACMI screens some of the best Roald Dahl movies during May including; Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda and Fantastic Mr Fox.
  • National Simultaneous Storytime returns for another wonderful year this May sharing the joy of reading to all children. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.
  • Head to Scienceworks for the Little Sparks program that explores different STEM topics and encourages children to use their senses to observe, question, predict and investigates the wonders of the world and everyday life. May’s workshop is Kinder Coding; Make meaning of symbols and problem solve using the Code-a-Pillar™ caterpillar toy.
  • Fall down the rabbit hole into Wonderland at ACMI. Take a trip through the looking glass into an immersive, enchanted world that draws together a remarkable selection of original behind-the-scenes material.
  • Weekend Workshops at the NGV offer the flexibility to book into single or multiple sessions. Budding artists discover the NGV Collection and create their own works of art using a variety of media.
