National Simultaneous Storytime returns for another wonderful year this May sharing the joy of reading to all children. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, first published in 1865, is so culturally ingrained it’s possible to know the story without ever having actually read the book. We are tickled pink to have Jess Bram, the curator of ACMI’s new exhibition Wonderland, and Dan Koerner, the designer of the Lost Map of Wonderland, one of the many digital experiences in Wonderland, in conversation with comic book artist (and Readings staffer!) Bernard Caleo.
