Australian children’s musical group Hi-5 is set to begin 2016 with fresh cast member, Lachlan Dearing. After eight fun filled years, veteran performer, Stevie Nicholson will pass the baton to the blonde, blue eyed youngster who is set to energise and inspire little fans all around the world.
“Joining the Hi-5 cast is a dream come true. I live and breathe the stage, and being invited to join a cast where we travel the world and entertain children is an experience of a lifetime,” said 18-year old Lachlan Dearing. “Children have an emotional intelligence and energy like no other, and I hope to inspire them to live positively everyday through play and song.”
Lachlan is well known for his gifted and jaw dropping talent in dancing and singing which has led him to appear as Australia’s Got Talent FINALIST in pop sensation group Dapper (2013) and WINNER of Young Talent Time (2012). Lachlan is a CrossFit enthusiast and loves surfing, and these skills will no doubt be brought out in his Hi-5 character.
Making his debut appearance in an exclusive Hi-5 Summer Songfest! concert held at the new Hunter Valley Conference and Events Centre on Sunday 10 January, 2016 at 3:30pm, and the Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains on Monday 11 January at 11am, Lachlan will embrace the stage with 15 years of performing arts experience which includes two years of extensive dance and drama training at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts.
