Following on from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets illustrated editions comes the third edition; The Prisoner of Azkaban.
British illustrator Jim Kay has once again been commissioned to bring this marvellous series to life with his take on the characters in a fully illustrated story.

Publishing house Bloomsbury planned to release an illustrated version each year for six years and the new fully-illustrated Prisoner of Azkaban will be available to buy from October 2017.

Readers can expect to see more depictions of Hogwarts professors, like Severus Snape, as well as new images of Hogwarts castle and the iconic Knight Bus, which features on the cover.

The Illustrated Edition of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban includes over 115 new graphics and is to be translated into over 21 languages around the world.

The third book in the Harry Potter series marked a notable change in tone, towards darker territory, as well as the introduction of key characters such as Sirius Black and Professor Trelawney. Bloomsbury have released a sneak peek of a couple of illustrations in this third edition showing how Jim Kay depicts this darker territory.

The illustrated editions are perfect to introduce a younger audience to the series giving the readers a visual look inside the wonderful world of Harry Potter.

You can pre-order your illustrated copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban prior to it’s release on the 3rd October from popular bookstores or online at Bloomsbury where you will receive a magical Harry Potter tote bag.
